I don't purport to know what happens in the afterlife or what happens to us when we die, but I sure as hell would love to see Casey somehow be able to haunt his family's sorry asses and make their lives miserable for eternity.

While that would make a hilarious plot to revive that franchise, more likely is that the body has been cremated and the ashes scattered - probably in accordance with Casey's wishes.
Say what you want about Jean, but she seemed insanely devoted to Casey. I always question the children's motives when there is a new, young wife in the family. This dispute was about money, no question, but this is a big stain on the legacy of "Pop's gateway drug."

Doesn't sound like his body is missing. There were two sides of the family fighting over the whole deal - apparently she lost and they won't tell her.

His wife has control of his body at the moment, and she is missing along with his body.
