David the Gnome's grater is ok until you get to the sides where the grating is done by outward facing barbs. I've always thought those were for adding uncooked protein to salads.

For fine grating, OXO makes a small curved grater

that I've used almost daily since 2001 and it remains sharp, even with nutmeg.
