Assault and battery IS assault and battery regardless of the strength used.

quote:

Assault and battery is the combination of two violent crimes: assault (the threat of violence) and battery (crime) (physical violence).

Assault: (the threat of violence)
Check

Battery (crime) (physical violence)
Check

Not sure where “simple battery” fits in vs aggravated battery etc. (Lawyers?) The assault? Does the BRPD feel it’s ok to curse and threaten a person already handcuffed (they didn’t know he had a weapon or he wouldn’t have had the weapon).

If he does this then we need to check every BRPD camera from the same time period and every second of footage. If any other officer did the same thing then they need to receive a citation also. If they treat one person this way they need to treat every officer the same.

Then we need to check footage from Paul Murphy’s state police vehicle and even as a supervisor see if he did anything wrong.

Seems like a witch hunt on one former officer.
If you go after one of them they need to check all body cameras and go back the same time or it is a witch hunt.

Give it up bro. Salamoni is a liability for the PD. Even if every other cop passed a slap Or tuned up a perp, they don’t have a questionable shoot on their record. He needs to go. AS video shows his character when under pressure. It’s not fit for police work. This only reinforces it.
Give him two weeks pay and say goodbye
