re: Brennan's wants to close Royal St pedestrian mall, citing "Risk of Terrorism."

A poster in the reddit thread is an employee from Brennan's.

He said that the only problem they have is the street performers who blare amplified music. This is illegal and nothing has been done apparently after numerous letters, calls, etc to the mayor's office and the nopd.

The gist I got was that the NOPD wanted some sort of excuse to shut down the mall, this was the excuse.


Basically it's bad for business when you're eating at brennan's or shopping in an art gallery or antique store in the historic FQ while shitty techno music is being blasted on speakers right outside the window.
