A fishing package should come standard with cars in Louisiana like a tire and a jack, you never know when you need one or the other.

Tell us something unexpected.. Like... The traffic is running smooth on the Bonnet Carre Spillway.

One Saturday afternoon I had gone to Lafayette and when I was coming back, there was a wreck involving an 18 wheeler, about a mile before the Grosse tete exit. Traffic started slowing down about a half mile passed the Breaux Bridge exit (going east).. It took us 3 hrs and 40something minutes to get from there to the Grosse Tete exit.

At a certain point people started passing up the traffic to get to the beginning, so they could try to squeeze in at the front. After about the 4th or 5th one, I pulled to the side so they couldn't pass.. And one still went around me, then I looked in the rearview and 18 wheelers started pulling to the side.. Stopping them and all of a sudden there was a backup on the side (all the way to the bonnet carre spillway) of people who was trying to pass traffic, but the 18 wheelers were stopping from doing it.
