They need to tear down the elevated part of I-10 so that part Old Metry is no longer split apart. The community needs to come together over there. They are doing this for the Claiborne Overpass so why not put Old Metry back together?

Wouldnt that completely split it apart? There would be no way to get from one side to the other.
(The Old Metry side might not mind your solution)

It would slow down the Orleans Parish tourists from visiting the neighborhood at all hours of the day.

Dude had terminal cancer and got tired of Big Lees Deutchery . It wasnt just a one time incident how they framed it.

"He just got squirted with a water hose."

They had a history and ole baw was tired of it.

The facebook post was epic. The daughter of Lee was asking people to respect the family at this time, and fully understood that the "Big Lee" was not on the best terms with everyone. People were ripping "Lee" in the article in the comments section.

Hope his family was notified before you were informed.

Do you really think that they called his criminal defense lawyer before his family?

But that was well over 50 years ago (almost 60 years ago), before anyone ever referred to the areas all along either side of Metairie Road as "Old Metairie".

That's the funny part about it... Those on the North side of I-10 were the same age as the houses on the South side of I-10..

Some of the houses along Airline that's not seen as OM are older than some of the original houses that's considered Old Metry. That Metairie Terrace area.. My first house on Severn and Bore was built in '46...
