officially reporting sleet in Pineville
ETA: may be freezing rain... either way I could hear it hitting my house and I ran outside and could continue to hear it hitting the ground

Radar really filling in but I don't think much of it is making it to the surface.

the wintry precip in Pineville was fleeting... but I swear it was here

Alaska is warmer than normal when we get our big cold for the year.
Not always, but the jet stream isn't favorable right now.
Yeah definitely not always. January through March we get Chinook winds like we are having now...which warm things up to 30-50F...but we are getting snow tonight 1-3 inches finally....
SE Alaska has had more snow than us in Anchorage or Mat-Su

Snow reported in Abbeville, New Iberia, Dequincy.

Radar continues to look better and better but I am afraid none of it is reaching the ground. You would have to be under a heavier band to see a flurry. It has been bone dry all day, I have been shocked every time I touched anything.
Too bad this system wasn't further north, could have had a big snow event all across the area.

No precip falling in downtown BR even though it shows on radar

I’ve found if you look at RadarScope it shows true precip. Weatherbug is picking up stuff not hitting ground

Not sure what you are asking. RadarScope is an app you pay for. Has a lot of features

I was asking whether the link I provided was what you were talking about.
