re: Best Route from Opelousas to Bogalusa?

I would say once you get around BR traffic you can pickup Hwy 16 around Watson.
Go down 190, across old bridge, to greenwell springs road. You can take it across the magnolia Bridge, then get on Hwy 16 in Watson. That should take you through Amite into Bogalusa.

I remember the T-shirts back in the 1970’s.

Friends from Hammond said when they played Bogalusa the paper mill was roaring back then. Their football team use to chant Bogalusa stinks when rolling into town.
