Spin off from the Grant Cardone thread... Ben Mallah is a real estate investor (not developer) in Florida. He grew up as a Jewish kid in rough East Rockaway, Ny. He ended up in California managing low income housing for an investor and eventually made his way to Clearwater, Fl. He's worth a few hundred million and lives in a huge house on the beach.
He owns mostly retail, hotels and apartments in Florida. He doesn't develop but instead specializes in value add flips like buying a hotel and selling it for millions more. I've been watching him for years and you can see him stabilizing his portfolio with more long-term holds but still does flips. He specializes in 1031 exchanges which for those unfamiliar allows investors to defer capital gains.
He doesn't try to sell MLM scams or anything. He does offer consulting 1 on 1 by phone but I think that is more to fund the video guy who follows him around.
His Youtube channel is super interesting and entertaining. He's not politically correct at all.
