Being on the waiting list for a class

Do most people get the class that they want even if they're on the wait list? I'm trying to schedule a Macroeconomics course at LSU

What was that? 2010, 2020?
I remember realizing I didn't need that class about a week after midterms

Depends. Is that a 2000 level course with fairly large class sizes?
If so, a few people will drop and make room for wait listed.

IIRC, Econ 2010 was a relatively average-sized class (not that I would know from actually sitting in the class room).
