Yes, we’ve seen it in a few other threads. This country was not built to handle a pandemic.

Yeah...handling the pandemic requires aligning on a goal that 75%+ agree to. Afterward, we can have squabbles about the minor details of how to get there, but at least we'd be moving in "some" agreed upon direction.

Currently, there is not a single topic that you could possibly get that percentage to agree to in the US. You might have a chance with some minor blanket statements like "Child molestation is bad" - anything other than that it starts to get a little murky.

In the ago of the internet and the normalization of deviance you probably couldn't get agreement with even that statement.
Some sick perv and his buddies would come up with a justification and demand their right to be different.

Well they didn't have commercials stating "we're all in this together" or signs in their yards denoting that a "hero" lives there so those studies are inconclusive.
