My parents owned one back in their day while in college. Said he was nice as could be. Would reach his little paw up at their table when they had their morning coffee looking for sugar.

Coons are very smart. From what I read, the problems really don’t come into play until the males reach a certain age. I’m guessing they probably calm back down as they get older.
