Walking down Bourbon was crazy with so many bars doors locked and not many white people around. Actually think only white person we saw was a bouncer who begged us to come in his bar. Cop was pissed and yelled at us for being there and took us straight to our hotel the Clarion. Tried to get on elevator at hotel and was told it was only for blacks and to take the stairs. Whole night freaking sucked.

I had a bell hop at a hotel in the quarter tell me he took vacation during the week of the bayou classic.....
His words .....
" they don't come with luggage, they have grocery bags and watermelons and as far as a tip don't count on it "
