I don’t even remember. He was a big black guy. I had never even noticed him. Wasn’t talking to him. He just came around the corner from the back line and started yelling that he didn’t give a frick and he’d murder me. The manager was standing right there and pulled him into the office. I never even figured out what happened.

I’d order their spicy shrimp spaghetti every week when I got paid. I worked in the mall.

my uncle delivered milk for years to BR restaurants...he said if you saw what he saw "in the back" you'd never eat out again...he also said "high end" places were no different from hole-in-the-walls

El Chico was legit.

Such a sad story, 7 brothers worked their asses off to get it off the ground. Their children killed it.

We can't talk about Baton Rouge nostalgia without the Pancho's on Nicholson. Does anyone have a picture of that old place?
