I'm heading down to BR tomorrow.

Are masks required in the casinos?

Which hotel/casino is the best? Thinking of staying there.

Any info is appreciated.

Stay at L'Auberge if you want to stay at a Casino hotel. It's not close to anything else though so you'll have to Uber elsewhere.

There are 2 downtown casinos but they are a little sketchy. There are some nice hotels downtown though. Just referring to the casinos.

L'auberge would be your best bet IMO. According to their website, masks are required in compliance with our fearless governor's mandate

10-4. If they have decent restaurants I cant really think of anywhere else we will need to go. Just coming down for a work trip for a couple nights and heading back Monday.

Yeah I saw that. Didnt know how strict it would be. Especially if you have a drink.

Can't speak for the one in BR but at the one in Lake Charles, they didn't give a frick. Some wore it, most didn't

In blackjack that equals 14. Tough number to deal with. Try to avoid it. See, if you 'hit' (that means take another card) and you get an 8 or higher, you will 'bust'. If you don't, it's easy for the dealer to score higher than you.

Good luck.

Hope you're doing well.

You'll probably drive down a road called Gardere to get to L'Auberge and start thinking to yourself, man fallguy screwed me over

Just don't get off the main road or stop at a gas station until you get to the end.

More good tips. You're a wealth of information.

I'm doing great, actually. Thanks. Hope you are as well.

I dont have a mask to wear. We dont need them in the free state of Alabama.

I have read about that casino on here before and figured it might be the best bet, no pun intended, but I know things can change pretty quick.

But I trust your info. Thanks.

Don’t listen to that dumbass.

If you’re showing a 14 it all depends on the dealers up card. If the dealer has 6 or lower you hold, if the dealer has 7 or higher you hit.

It’s blackjacks 101

If you really want to piss off the entire table, just split 10's. Bonus points if the dealer has a 6 or lower.

Well, I’ve never seen a casino that didn’t absolutely choke you with cigarette smoke….so I am betting they either don’t require masks, or they don’t really enforce the rule.

I think Titus is from Birmingham IIRC. He'll be alright. He's probably been through Wylam and Ensley before. Gardere is really the main hood in that area but I drive down the main road pretty often.
