I got a 70 fj40 for the wife a couple years ago for a good price and kept it at a buddy's house in shop and we fixed it up and gave it to her for Christmas this year. It was in decent shape when I got it and looked real nice when we were done. She loved it.

Tough vehicle.

You can find a good selection on eBay and a couple classic car dealers in Texas always seem to have a couple that are very drivable but could use a little TLC.

I have met some SERIOUS ballers out there this week. This one dude I was talking to told me about how he was going to have to leave some of the cars he was planning on buying this weekend out here until his new garage was built. I asked him how many he was planning on buying and he said about 10 so I said wow no wonder you need a new garage. He said well my current one holds just over 20 but my new one will hold 30 so between them Ill be able to keep just over 50 on my property, the rest of my collection I will have to keep somewhere else for now. Dude wasn't even a dealer, just some rich collector from South Carolina.

And some of them just blend in with the crowd and you would never guess the old guy in jeans sitting next to you might the guy bidding on the top end cars.

The best are the drunk idiots that security have to shuffle off because they're in front of the car with drinks in hand blocking the camera

Good question. I can understand consigners, stage hands and show support, but there is way more folks up there that fall into those groups.

I know if I were that rich I'd either be at this auction, or phone bidding from my yacht in the Bahamas.

I would've already been dead.

I have no medium speed.

No....they ALL blend in! I have seen maybe a handful of people who weren't wearing jeans and sneakers, they are all just normal old dudes.

Any year/car that is on your wish list?
I've seen a few tonight but I can't bring another one home until I get rid of something.

That would be the only way to get to the front of that long line for those waiting. When I was growing up in BTR, there was an orange one tearing up the streets. God only knows where or what happened to that car.

Oh man where to start..like I said before I'd want more top tier driver quality stuff than anything. But here goes:

I want a really nice Jeep CJ in all 4 iterations, 5,6,7,8. Had two 5s on separate occasions but had to sell both.

An authentic General Lee

Icon CJ3b

Rotating collection of 10-20 of whatever classics I was feeling at the time

And as my ultimate unattainable dream, the 1966 Ferrari 365 P Berlinetta Speciale. Three seat, center drive Ferrari.

That or a NART Spider.

ETA or I'd like to be Rick Hendrick.

ETAETA, Actual attainable wishlist type would probably be a very well done CJ8.

That cj3 is bad as hell.

Funny story, my boy hit 13 yo today and said that my 69 TA needs to be his daily driver when he hits high school.
