Exactly. My favorite is how they invite people like me to their kids birthdays too. Single male. Yeah, that doesn't make me feel weird at all.

I do that just to be nice to the couple friends we still have that aren't married with kids. Don't want them to feel left out.

I didn't expect my friends to care what the gender of my baby was 5 months before it was born. Mostly because they're not women.

Buddy of mine just told me the gender of his kid while sitting at a bar a few days ago. Best reveal ever.

I'm inviting you to the next one. You should see the video I made for ell jr. Thought about submitting it in the Cannes film festival.

Thanks fin. I speak for all single males when I say thanks for the invite lol

LL, I have mixed feelings about people with kids. Once my couple friends get married, I stop calling cause they only want to hang out with other couples. When they have kids I kind of delete their number. There is no point. We'll never hang out again. We both know that.

That's pretty much how it went with me.

At the bar:

Me:So hey dude, I'm having a boy.

Friend: Cool man, congrats. I guess I'm supposed to buy you a beer now huh?

Me: Yeah, probably.

Friend: So little league will be cool.

Me: Yeah, looking forward to that.

Friend: Hey bartender, two beers!

And you know what man? There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, either.

Jones has three very close friends with kids. Two of them he is still plenty close with. One of them he never speaks to anymore and they don't show up to anything.

It really just depends on the person, but I agree.. I couldn't continue to be close with someone who allowed their individuality to disappear in lieu of being a parent. You still have to be you. I am friends with you for who you are. You can't expect me to continue to be friends with "Mommy"..

Doesn't mean you can't talk about it or bring your kid around. If they're well-behaved, I'll likely love them. Just don't expect me to care as much as you do about your parenthood.

Well of course not. If there was, I wouldn't have done it.
