if you're gonna keep them then only keep a female, a bull coon will get mean when he gets ready to breed, no matter how much you love it.

also, coons carry rabies, so be careful. LDWF can put you in touch with a rehabber if you don't want the responsibility.
AMEN!(* males are called "boar" coons)
My boy raised one until his nuts dropped, then it jumped him and tore him up before he could grab his pistol and shoot it INSIDE HIS HOUSE (true story!). They're cute and fun as babies, but they'll get into EVERYTHING if you don't constantly watch them.
Find a wildlife dept in your area and they'll find a place for them....be careful or you'll get attached!

Is this real life?

Kill the sobs or chunk them out into the woods at least. A raccoon is not a pet

You have obviously never had one as a pet.
They are awesome pets.

I remember I legit saw some dude on Scenic Hwy in North Baton Rouge in front of a gas station with an ice chest and a sign that said "Fresh Coon Meat." Maybe see if you can hook up with that guy.

They're really destructive and have violent tendencies. I would not keep one as a pet, unless you want to get a finger bit off.

Perfect idea for the camp. This would be scary AF in the dark. Still think you are on to something
