The studies suggest primary motor development is linked with later cognitive ability, yes, in the sense they are predictive. I believe some literature treats it as distinct from IQ too, but this isn't my field, so I can't tell you if there is a study which directly relates it to IQ. There are references to increased aerobic fitness or endurance in general, VSI processing, and fine motor coordination to degrees of academic achievement as well. There is an evolutionary argument to make from processing power, problem-solving and endurance, due to ancestral proclivities for endurance hunting too, which is far more believable than a justification to treat those precise measures of what IQ tests as distinct from brain function as a whole.

Were WBC and GFR renormed without reference to physiological characteristics? I think I made clear why I think the renorming in the case of IQ tests is ridiculous.
