This is more often the case in trucks.

The spare you lower down from under the bed is full size but isn't the same tire and is on a shitty black rim that is different so you don't want to use it but just use it like a jack

Remove tire 1 replace with spare
Replace 2 with 1
3 with 2
4 with 3
Spare with 4

Make sense?

What an absolutely ridiculous way to rotate tires. Do you honestly think the kind of person that is going to rotate their own tires won't own a set of jack stands and a floor jack?

Just an absolutely convoluted way to try to make 30 lugs sound right.

His way is just stupid. I don't think I've ever seen anyone do it that way, and I'm a member on like 10 different truck forums.

Explain to me how you would do it with 1 jack?

You wouldn't. Just like you wouldn't do it without owning a jack and jack stands. There by making using your spare a complete waste of time.

ETA: And don't say "what do you do if you're not by your garage," because that will never happen.

So you would spend more money and use time in an effort to save money by rotating your own tires?

Got it.

I bet you are the go to guy at work for problem solving

I have common sense. The type of person that decides to rotate their own tires is the same type of person that will own a floor jack and jack stands. Argue against that as much as you like.
