I drilled in the Chalk back in the 90's in Louisiana. I haven't heard of much activity there right now. Good bit of drilling going on in the Texas chalk.

It never was an activity hotbed. Permian has almost as many rigs drilling as the rest of the US combined.

The reason I ask is because there have been land companies approaching people in the Beauregard Vernon Rapides Areas. Was curious if the Oil field Baws heard anything.
