miraculously, internet starting working again this morning at 7am. Cell phone is 4G (not LTE), and TV seems to be working (maybe sluggish). Never got a text from them saying service was back on.
Perhaps they figured out a patch or some 4G switch they could flip to keep people online until the strike is over. I do not have much confidence this will last, so I'm keeping my Friday appointment just in case. Although, I can tell from where the fiber enters my house that the problem is not in my house but before the fiber gets to it.
Not sure a tech would be able to do anything with an appointment if the source of the signal isn't making it here.
