Assassin's Creed : Mandarin Pyramid Scheme

If you're too lazy to read it, the synopsis is: a guy hires a 'hitman' to take care of some individual. This 'hitman' pockets half money and uses the other half to put out a hit on the original target. Some random Yang agrees to do the deed, accepts the money and uses only a portion of it to finance the assassination of the original target.

I'm lost track of many iterations of this actually occurred (and how many people named "Yang" were involved), but I guess when the pot got down to about 350 Yen, the poor sucker at arse-end finally initiates contact with the original target. He doesn't even try to off the marked for death guy. Instead, he lets the cat out of the bag and proposes the target fake his own death and they split the money.

The target of this asinine assassination drama appears to be the only sensible person in the mix. He says frick all this crazy asshattery, and calls the cops. The po-po's scoped up like half a dozen bullshite-artists.
