Not a problem. A lot of people distrust cops but hopefully it can change. It's not hard being a good person while wearing the uniform

Yea. Problem is that in New Orleans, most of the calls are not in the type of area where "friendly" conversations take place. More like respond to a call and watch for crossfire.

NOPD just babysits ghetto trash all day. I'd be a complete dick too if all I did was chase down gang members and watch people get shot up. frick that.

If you were to plan a heist, what would be the target of your choice?

Couple questions from a fellow LEO. How many officers does your agency have? Most amount of dope on a traffic stop?

20-30 were a revolving door. Many people leave for bigger departments.

A lot of our dope is meth coming from Mexico and herion. But I haven't gotten anything massive. Highway gets a lot because of the interstate. Most people travel from Washington/Oregon to the east coast through my state.

A lot of times they have a fight or flight response. I like that I can stop and talk to community members and not worry about stacked calls

I'm in the panhandle of Florida and that's where most of our dope is coming from. Used to be shake and bake meth now it's high quality ice.

Yeah people have gotten away. Some people know the area better or are just to fast. But it's alright. Some days are great and some are bad

Exactly. I get the response time is poor, but people need to pay more attention to call logs. I worked for a sheriffs office here for about 3 years before changing career paths. I hate hearing people bitch about response times in NOLA. One of my wifes friend was bitching the other day about her response time by NOPD related to a purse being stolen out of her car while pumping gas. Ugh, that crime is over. Nothing can be done now besides pull video tape etc. Lack of manpower and constant shootings put your problem way down the priority list. It just is what it is until we get an actual mayor who will allow the police to actually police.

They hire based on applicant demographics. I have seen multiple Caucasian officers get passed over or not even receive a call back in reference to their application. These are guys with college degrees and no criminal history I am sick of hearing them beg for officers when I have personally seen their stack of apps. But this was Landrieus plan. Now everyone needs to suffer.

If I'm within a block of my home and you pulled me over for something like an expired brake tag or a brake light was out, and you got the impression I'd had a couple drinks, would you arrest me for dui even if I passed the field sobriety? In this hypothetical I probably refuse breathalyzer.. Tia

I would love to be in Florida as a Leo. A lot of dope. Some agencies are great. I've been to training with Pinellas county and Hillsborough. Great folks.

But yeah meth is huge here. It's more expensive here. We're starting to get home cooks again
