people have always been shitty to other people.
Slavery wasnt created in America, in Africa there are still slaves and no, its not because of race but it is tribal. SO had you been born to the wrong tribe you could live in abject poverty. India has a caste system. Asia as a whole is INSANELY racist, far more than the West.
So while we have our faults this country give the individual the best chance to succeed regardless of race/tribe/skin color/econmic status
