Did we not just shoot down a Syrian jet performing combat operations in their own airspace against rebel factions?

Take the red, white, and blue glasses off and you'll see that some of our own policies provoke confrontation as well. The fact that the U.S. and Russia share mutual interests in combating ISIS but still can't stymie the war of rhetoric even though our vital national interests are not inherently at odds is a tremendous knock on both countries' leadership. Humanity making the same mistakes over and over again into perpetuity even though we have much greater access to information and communication with one another and we know we both possess weapons that can absolutely destroy the other. fricking pathetic.
