My Justin non-steel toe work boots with the thicker rubber sole are amazing. They're broken in perfectly and are probably the most comfortable shoes I own. I got a cheaper pair with the thinner sole to wear with jeans and I hate them with all of my might 
. So uncomfortable. I think you just have to try them on to see if you like them.

I have the Dan Post Cayman exotic boots. Gotta have the right personality to sport exotic boots IMO.
