vets only get a single day?

Too many. What we really want is to be left alone.

Veterans that expect you to jerk them off constantly annoy me
Myself and most of my veteran friends usually talk shite and bring up times in the military when we are together but all of us rarely talk about it to others who have never been in.

Yeah that dangerous arc from your TIG/MIG gun is exactly the same as the grunt in Nam getting mortared while sleeping at 0300 in the morning on some godforsaken FOB.

It’s also the same job as the guys heading down an Afghan road in a Humvee on patrol getting obliterated by a 155mm howitzer shell buried in a dead dog they happened to pass by.

Probably just as dangerous work as a SEAL team taking a joyride on a Chinook right up to the point where they get blown apart by a couple of RPG’s some hadji’s launched into it.

Please continue in telling us that it’s the same job as theirs fkn Einstein….

Not all veterans are combat veterans.

Well, don’t be a pussy, and you could’ve been paid too.

Whatever, meathead.

Veterans who enlisted since 2010 have some of the highest rates of disability compensation enrollment even though they were significantly less likely to deploy and faced a substantially lower risk of injury while deployed — only 1 percent of Army service members who enlisted between 2010 and 2015 were wounded in combat.

Disability benefits are EXPLODING.
