I am about to start OFEV and it has numerous side effects. Most common are nausea, vomiting, bleeding and diarrhea. Only available thru mail order from manufacturer that has contracted with another company solely to provide support for patients on this medication. They provide free of charge anti diarrhea medication so it must be bad.

It must be taken with a full meal am and pm and apparently some foods are bad and worsen the side effects and some seem to help.I will get a info packet tomorrow that should help but apparently it can vary from person to person. Can anyone advise of their experience?

FYI it is for ideopathic pulmonary fibrosis which is a progressive lung disease. The medication has had some success in slowing the progression of the otherwise incurable disease.

Also is anyone aware of any clinical studies anywhere in the country that may be trying different treatments?

Thanks for any help.

Half of those are misdiagnosed, if I hear about it I always hope a second opinion is available. sorry you are involved in the situation with this.
