2015 is the first year of the new design. IMO it's a way better choice than the Pilot just b/c of the poor rating the Pilot gets in the offset crash test.
I think the Explorwr is the better choice based on resale, ergonomics, and owners' comments.
Nissan doesn't have the best realiabilty rating, but they aren't terrible.
