I haven't stayed there but I have toured it not long after they did the 90's remake. Estes Park, CO is a great little town.

Looks picturesque in those pictures, but if you turn the camera around, you'll see a shopping center with a Safeway grocery store not far away. Kind of ruined the experience for me.
It is a pretty hotel though. We didn't go inside, just did a drive-by on the way back from hiking all day.

Was any of the movie filmed in Colorado? I think the hotel exterior is from a lodge near Mt Hood Oregon.

My gf did over the summer. Place looks badass. They stayed in the room above Stephen King's room. No spooky things happened but the place def has that vibe.
Gonna be in denver in two weeks and will probably drive out there.
