Had a great relationship with Mom, most did, but she died almost three years ago.
Dad is another matter, though. I assume he did the best he could given his circumstances but then I also assume he settled. So, I'd say conflicted and he lives his life and I live mine. We speak every day and had always hoped for a deeper relationship but is not in the cards as I may be expecting too much. I have tried to not let history repeat itself with our three.
