I saw somebody post a locked on on facebook one time. I tagged the police department in his post and he flipped his shite.

Mrs. 19 had her new iPhone (the DAY after I bought it for her) stolen off her desk at work years ago - She was across the hall from her office and watched the student-worker walk in and snag it. Chased her out of the building and was banging on her car window as the chick freaked and drove off. The whole comedy was caught on security cams.
EBRSO was waiting for her when she got home, found her and her boyfriend's apt full of hot phones.
She threw Mrs. 19's out of the window on I-10, so was never recovered.
Dumbasses never cease to amaze.

As someone who used to work for a cellphone company, it truly amazes me that people still steal phones in 2017. They're glorified paper weights and I know with all big 4 networks (ATT, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon) the moment your phones IMEI is pinged, we wouldn't touch it if it comes back stolen.

Unfortunately, there is still some value in tearing them down and selling the parts, or just selling them with bad ESNs. Half the phones sold on eBay are blacklisted. Pretty messed up.
