If the weather is nice and I have the time, I prefer it. It like flightseeing.

They hate that the capital is here, and in turn blame Juneau for all the States problems.

Flight between Petersburg and Wrangell on the Southern run on a 737 is about 20 miles and flying at 10,000 ft on a good day is spectacular.

Pretty much. The capital issue is more of a sore spot here since folks cant drive all the way here from other regions.

Yeah but I get tired of ups and downs.

My milk run consisted of a one hour flight from Bethel to Anchorage

Excellent on all counts. Depending on season.

Anyone living here should have a good boat though. You'll not find many high end cars here, but you'll see some prettys stellar boats.

I was in Juneau yesterday. Neat little city and everyone was very friendly.

We had a severe thunderstorm roll through here about 3 hours ago, broke one of the cruise shiips from its moorings. It was a nice day previously.

When I went on a cruise it seemed you had to have some hustle and self motivation to live year round in some of the smaller tourist towns like Ketchikan and such. I wouldn't make it. Also, knowing how to fix Subaru problems could come in handy.

Ketchikan is a little more gritty than Juneau. The job prospects are usually a lot better too.

3 years in Anchorage. Loved it. I budgeted a winter trip to Hawaii or California, which went a long way to making it tolerable for my wife.
