Likely due to facebooks privacy concerns and a new European privacy standard. Been getting them for everyone online service I use.

Yep....Europe cracked down on misuse of personal info by entities like Facebook. Result has changed the privacy policies of a heck of a lot of online software. I am not sure why the US hasn't done the same thing...
