Great times back in day. Probably made that trip 5 times, and each time it was great for the first 3 hrs, then a real drag for the last hour. I always said there needed to be earlier/shorter end point option.

I've left more than one pair of sandals sitting on a log out there, never to be seen again, after unflipping our canoe and moving on. The beer was always accounted for however.

Yep. Good times.

Once pulled a girl by her hair out from under a fallen tree. The cuurent had her pinned below. Reached down and pulled. She reached back and helped by hanging on to my wrists. But my grasp was her hair.

Btw, ended up at same college and sport fricked often. :)

used to go hang out at carpenter's bridge - wasn't crazy about making the whole canoe trip. way before the cops started patrolling

I grew up on the Chitto, we own about 100 acres out there. Do some damn good wood duck hunting and squarrel hunting

Our parents used to take us when we were kids in the early 1980's. I remember tumping the canoe over and trying to grab our shite before it floated away. The best part of that trip was riding in the bed of a pickup truck with the wind blowing our hair around. Good times!
