My pipe collection rivals my fedora collection and my selection of beard care products

Here's my collection. Let's see how you are at naming them.

I'll give it a try-
Top Row, (L to R): Pipe, Pipe, Pipe, Pipe, White Pipe, Pipe, Pipe, Pipe, White Pipe.
Bottom Row, (L to R): Pipe, Pipe, Pipe, Pipe, White Pipe, Pipe, Pipe, Pipe, Pipe.

From this I'm going to guess you really like the way a pipe feels and tastes in your mouth.

Having never had a desire to also do so, I guess I should end by wishing you "good suck"?

Pipe smoker here.

I smoke mainly house blends from Country Squire in Jackson. I like to mix it up between aromatics and English blends. For aromatics I like Lancaster and Longbottom Leaf, and English blends I like Cornishman and Angry Cornishman.

You should check out their website: LINK

I also enjoy Dunhill's Nightcap.

I have four pipes that I regularly use (others are offbrand hand me downs): Dunhill, Comoy, GBD, and Irwin. The Irwin (a GBD "second") is my best smoker.

I've got about 5. Really like the blends from Bayou Tobacco on Acadian.

Creamy Brusly, Native Honeysuckle and Bread Pudding are my faves. If you are a Pipe Smoker in the BR area you should check it out. My new tobacconist since Hemingway's closed.

I have a small pipe collection a few briars and a couple of cobs. My Radice Silk Cut is my nicest pipe but I enjoy smoking out of my cobs a little more than my briars

I have several tobaccos I keep around the house from captain black white , Carter Hall , cult blood red moon, house blends , Mississippi River I have a pretty wide variety

I prefer a 40/60 blend of cherry and a robust Charleston dark. As I bang your mom's butthole. Cheers.

My favorite is a custom blend from the Tinder Box in Lakeside Mall. It's 3/4 "Nut" and 1/4 "VBC".

Just a little less worry... I can run them a little hotter and not worry about burn thru .. I can fiddle with things in the garage and yard and not worry about dropping it and messing it up.

I also like that I can smoke different types of tobacco out of my cob with no ghosting issues.

Gotcha. Although I've been enjoying pipes for a few years now (but not frequently) I'm still very much a novice in the knowledge department.

We all had to start out as novices at some point. I am probably considered a novice to some pipe smokers I don't smoke everyday and sometimes I won't smoke for a couple of months at a time, but I have been smoking piped for probably 5-6 years now.

There is a lot of good info online and on youtube that will quickly educate you on pipe smoking.

How do y'all pack your pipes?

I switched to the swirl method and its awesome.

rolling the bowl upside down in your hand and the tobacco just feeds into the bowl in a swirl. Its perfect.

I have used the swirl method, but the majority of time I fill bowl push down lightly, fill the bowl again push down a little firmer, then fill the bowl again and then push down fairly firmly.

Then I will test the draw and if its good I will do my charring light
