I have a computer science background and work primarily as an Architect. I do a lot of hiring. People here are giving you good information on what to learn. What I’d advise is that you go read jobs you’re interested in and then go self teach yourself the skills using things like Cloudguru, Pluralsight, YouTube, etc. when I’m hiring entry level programmers, I jump at self starters who can talk about projects and skills they learn on their own vs people looking for me to spend money training them.

Yea that’s honestly a lot of what I’m trying to get down currently. I have about 9-10 months before I would start actively applying for new jobs so I’m trying to get a good plan together to make myself marketable.

I’m a data analyst. Had an ISDS minor at LSU and a the Microsoft SQL courses paid off BIG time in this field for me. My first job I learned a whole lot more of SQL on the job. Now at my second out-of-college job and will probably be my lifelong career. Skills were very much in need and was able to code reports and audits through SQL for all the departments at my current job and after 6 years am already a senior data analyst. So helpful when your company has a good ERP system and the backend data in SQL is clean.
