ETA: has had it for a little over 2 years and 46k miles with no issues.
Glad to hear that bro. Respect you and your opinion. Feel a little better about the purchase.

Wife has a 2014 and loves the vehicle.

Only issue she has had is one of her visors broke and wouldn't stay up. Replaced with no further issues.

Same as us. Great vehicle. Smoothe ride. No other service issues. Acura MDX was our previous vehicle and it was also great (3 yr lease).

Yeah, I know the MDX is a great vehicle. My BIL has had 2 or 3 and they love it. I was trying to steer her towards one but she doesn't like something about them.

Supposed to be a 2017 but will probably be pushed back.

I suspect it is pending the Armada redesign (since they are on the same platform).

Well there's nothing sporty about a vehicle made to hold 8 people...and the utility is that, holding 8 people. They're mini-vans without the cool stow away seats. No big deal. It's my obligation to post how I don't think SUVs are cool, IDK why...it's a burden sometimes.

Station wagons are the epitome of fail however.

While that may be true generally, there are exceptions and I consider the QX60 to be one. Good acceleration and handling and tight turning radius (it's better than my Accord). It's also got a damned smooth ride and power delivery. I have found myself at 90-95 on the interstate if I am not paying attention. Plus, it is a good bit smaller than the QX80 (which, admittedly, is a giant beast).

One issue with the QX (and most Nissan/Infiniti's) is that they use a God awful CVT transmission and they tend to have issues with higher mileage too.

No one is claiming they're sporty dumbass, but they look a helluva lot better than a minivan.

Which one looks better?

Is the CVT that bad? I've read a few complaints about shuddering.

I'd say most people don't have issues with them...but they seem to be a little less reliable overall and they are odd to drive. They don't really "shift", it's just a continuous acceleration in one gear. Just gotta go drive one in stop and go traffic to see what you think.

Ours will shudder with low speed acceleration if you try to go too easy on the accelerator. It's a mild annoyance, but I do wonder if that causes some long term damage.
