Came home from church on the last Wednesday of April. My daughter asked if I wanted to walk the dog to which I replied "Sure." Less than 1/4 mile from house I felt extreme pressure in center of chest. Told my daughter we needed to head back toward house. 2 days later had 3 stents and another artery has 50-60% blockage. Treating it with meds. Family history of heart disease. It wasn't my day to go!! No prior symptoms or pains.

Woke up with severe indigestion and drank mylanta. Went to a youth baseball game with terrible burning just below my throat. Chewed a handful of tums.
Another dad, a fireman, came over and said I was acting exactly like the video he had seen of a heart attack victim.
I told him we had eaten pizza late the night before and it was heartburn. About five minutes later I went to him and asked him to take me to the hospital. Told him they could put me in the psych ward if they could make this pain stop. ER doc did the various tests and said a cardiologist was on the way.
Had morphine, angioplasty and blood thinners. Stayed in the hospital and was finally released on several meds and doing well. In the hospital the cardiologist told me the cemetery was full of guys who complained about heartburn.

Go get a full work up. Now!!!
EKG they gave me while I was having my heart attack was normal.
I felt similar pain years before but wrote it off as indigestion.
I was lucky and have 5 stents now.

Just wondering what that must feel like.
Start practicing for the "Wife Carrying sport" and you'll find out real fast.
