Ok, it is definitely cooling down. It has dropped a few degrees and I checked the temperature coming out of one of the vents and it was testing at 60 degrees. Looks like it's fixed for the time being. Thanks to everyone and I will be sure to get that pipe cleaned out

It should have dropped more than a few degrees in that amount of time...and I think that the air coming out of the vents should be cooler than 60 degrees. I would call someone tomorrow to clean the drain and check the Freon.

Agree. You've prolly still got an issue that needs attention.

A few degrees in 50 minutes could be pretty good. Plus, with the AC being off all day, it's gotta get the humidity down before the temperature can really start to drop.

Depends on what the temperature at the return is and the heat gain across the ducts. The difference between return and register should nominally be 20 degrees. To measure, you can stick an instant-read cooking thermometer in the register and leave it a minute or two. Don't just point an IR thermometer at the register, because it isn't accurate.

It's going to take a little time to pull all the moisture/heat out of the house if it got hot. If the line is plugged, he's likely found the culprit. Otherwise, call a Hvac company out asap so the compressor doesn't burn up.
