Two tone Tag. I want to go with a leather band. What do the watch guys recommend?

You have piqued my interest.

So many colors to choose from.

The band is a little tight and I don't have the extra links.

Because it looks like you had $800 to spend in 1989. They are worth about $300 today. It probably wasn't worth fixing unless there is some sentimental value. In my opinion it's not a very attractive watch. It screams I bought this when I cared but no longer do.

Again totally my own opinion

Duly noted. I think it looks fine.

My favorite is the Accutron. What are your thoughts on that?

Probably a light brown or grey leather...tough colors though. For leather a good choice is Hirsch, https://www.hirschstraps.com/, for NATO try crown and buckle, https://www.crownandbuckle.com/. What is the lug width?

You should get that Datejust reworked, if it's real...never seen a numbers bezel on one.. Get the case brushed and have a matching smooth bezel put on. Remove that cyclops and put it on a strap and you'd have nice piece.

The Rolex is real. White gold bezel. It's been my daily for a couple of years, work and play. I get it professionally cleaned and polished every two years.

As mentioned the Bulova is my all time favorite though. It has been indestructible.
