Just like society you can't take anyone disagreeing with you. Once again, I'm not saying it is right. However, the gentleman was not complying with the rules so he had to be extracted. Had he been complying with the rules, the officers would not have entered the cell. It is the prisoner's fault that the police had to enter.

No one is arguing about not complying. But has ripping an eye ball out been an apporiate response for that situation? The officer that reported the whole thing and got fired said he wasn't doing anything to warrant that extreme abuse. If hiding under a bed sheet in a small prison cell warrants getting an eyeball ripped out, then what would they do to someone actually fighting back with them?

Again you are saying that since he didn't comply then whatever else happens to him, is his fault. That is a simple approach that is just flat wrong. Even if the dude is the UFC champ and is resisting arrest, under no circumstances should the officer ever rip out anyone's eyeball. NEVER! If he is that big of a threat, kill him.

So you are one of those who defends cops when they kill people or dogs. Like the guy getting choked out for selling illegal cigs. I mean if he followed the rules and didn't sell cigs, the cops wouldn't of had to choke him to death to stop it. Or maybe like the one time where the cops ask the black guy at the gas station to see his id, only to shoot the guy when he reaches for his wallet. If he followed the rules and would of been white, this wouldn't of happened.

Point being, just b/c you don't do what a cop says or even break a rule, doesn't mean that the cop/officer should be able to kill you or rip your eye out. In self defense sure, but ripping the eye out for hiding in a jail cell is every much so in the extreme.

For frick's sake. It's could have, should have, would have, etc. You might have a great point, but every time you say "could of" I think another "cop" should pop someone's eye out.

I understand some police officers are crooked, they hold an incredible amount of power. But we cant bitch about them if we are going to pay them 2 dollar an hour more than a walmart employee. We can quit our jobs and become police officers but no one wants to take that pay cut and have to put our lives on the line for 14.50 an hour. That's the reason we don't pay doctors and engineers 24,000 a year. You get what you pay for so get over it.
