If you use Amazon Prime, having one is a no-brainer since there is no annual fee. The discounts (cash back) above the already low prices make it a must.
If you lack the financial means and discipline to pay it off each month, then don't add to your problems by getting one.

I do. Was buying bed and stuff for son but I got something like $70 off for applying for card. No brainer. Was pleasantly surprised it is somehow Chase backed so it now is in my list of accounts when I sign into Chase.
