This is how the professionals do it. They had to throw away the plan 4 weeks ago and yet are able to come up with the top PPV of 2025 (thus far).

Tony's "WM weekend" has been buried.... any momentum out of yesterday is dead. He let the lunatics run the asylum and now he's in a worse situation than what HHH had after WM. He shot his shot and WWE's women alone bested him. Someday there will be a "Rise and Fall of AEW" documentary put together by TKO.

People need to start respecting these women. Give them more than a few after-thought matches at WM. Give Stephanie the IC belt and you've got 4 top matches for those titles. Give me Rhea vs Lash vs Charlotte at WM. And in 3 weeks give me Io vs Rhea in a Falls Count Anywhere match.

Oh yeah.... Lash is coming up soon. She's barely been seen on NXT lately and the give her this spotlight and a postshow call out? Not hard to see where HHH is going.

Also, I absolutely loved the post-battle royal promo. WWE does need to subtitle these foreign languages though.

People like you ruin it for those who can enjoy both. It’s like a mental illness. Both can be good but for the fanboys on both sides it’s constantly a pissing contest. I feel bad for you.

Since I doubt you went back to read the response... Tonight really drove it home. (TL;DR You're being a fricking idiot.)

quote:

Show on NBC draws more interest than $50 show? With a Goldberg retirement match? No shite.
Everyone in this thread is a wrestling fan. If AEW was putting out a show worth $50 we'd be seeing a split much closer to the middle. They are not and your statement paints you as an über AEW mark.
quote:

AEW has better wrestling and storylines at the moment. WWE is still the beast but they’re falling off after TKO and AEW just put on a good PPV.
WHAT? I give Tony credit for ending the delusions of an unsafe worker and sticking with the girl on the Nia Jax diet but that whole storyline reminds me of something you'd see in Japan during the territory days. You have to do much better than "put on a good ppv" to bring people to your product. Back to my first point, if you don't give people something to pay attention to on your TV, your buy rate is going to be in the toilet.
quote:

WWE trying to counter tonight led to their top star going down and Goldberg being sent off in the most awkward way possible. Is that winning?
And this is where you lose all credibility. There is NO CONNECTION between running SNME tonight vs a standard untelevised house show. I'll go one further before you try to dispute it. The injury occurred on a move that is not barred on house shows!

And let's not forget, Tony wanted to be done long before there was a conflict. Instead it overlapped and as a result his ME got buried on social media. It got buried even further when Seth went down.

AEW is a niche company. If you like it, good for you. But there's a reason TKO spent Billions for WWE. People prefer it and it is quite accessible through forward looking deals. Things like three big events over 36 hours on Peacock/Netflix where it doesn't cost fans or non-fans anything more than the cost for streaming providers that most already have. Tony has acknowledged this by putting the MAX streaming in their newest TWD deal.

ETA for Tonight: Two women walked out. Years later one takes a fool's money and is exposed as someone who carries around cheap looking belts while acting like the world champion. The other went to work and worked her way back in. She is now the top company's world champion and her title win has overshadowed the "Wrestlemania" of the other's employer.

That's rich coming from someone who has done nothing besides ride Tony's dick in this thread. You've been negative WWE on every post. Don't go playing victim now.

I actually try to watch Dynamite but if you know what crap looks like and you see crap, you can't see anything but it. They get a guy hot (Wardlow) and then shite all over him so the same small group can have the spotlight. Other times Tony can't get out of his way and overbooks... like he did with Swerve and Ricky when he brought the lame scissors and a robe nobody gives a shite about as a way of building heat. In the end it kills both guys. And speaking of Swerve... he's your worlds champion and I've more than anyone in the company and you book him to drop the title to Daniel Bryan who then drops it. It goes to Dick the Boozer whose biggest gimmick is built around putting your fricking world title in a briefcase for nearly a year.

Speaking of mental illness... The two women you're pushing down people's throats are a Delusional Narcissist and a woman showing serious signs of schizophrenia. Your new champion's schtick is built around being an alcoholic and your former champion can't go 5 minutes into a match without slicing himself open. Blood for the sake of blood. Yet you infer that those who see it for what it is are the mentally ill people? A "Wrestlemania" should be something that fans of all ages can attend. If you took your 8 year old to see that you deserve a visit from the State.

I grew up watching AWA on Saturday mornings at 10 and flipping over to Superstars at 11. NWA on TBS around Saturday supper and could occasionally sneak the TV on to watch UWF/WCCW Sundays at 10pm. I'm usually watching old clips from the 4 non-WWE territories rather than Main Event or Evolve. I know what God wrestling is and Tony's toy is closer to the outlaw mudshow style of battle he promotes than it is to wrestling by any promotion before Heyman took over ECW.

And finally I'll ask, why are so many wrestlers leaving WWE, getting a look at Tony's toy, and sprinting back to WWE? The full time guy who carried WWE for 2 years was pushed out by Omega and the fricks. Those same three pushed out a guy who can still fill up arenas when Tony picked an actors mid-card talent kid over him. (Who Tony had reportedly gone off on a he saw Punk/WWE whopping their arse to 2,000 seat rodeo arenas.)

Tony's promotion is ROH owned by someone who has money but really shitty ideas and nobody willing to say no to him. The wrestling circuit was far better with ROH/TNA/Japan as the alternatives to WWE. At this point his dad closing the checkbook soon is the thing that can be done before Tony kills any remaining legitimate wrestling landscape that isn't WWE.

AEW must have some momentum cause the WWE fanbase actually cares to shittalk them again

An All In thread had 0% chance of being the anchor for WWE PLEs in 2024. Just saying.

Im here for it. Push each other to be better and continue making wrestling *hilariously* one of the more authentic things in 2025.

Maybe in a revenge match against Nia Jax?

I saw this Darby and fan interaction on Facebook. Love the personality. For those that don't know, he was married to Priscilla Kelly (aka GiGi Dolan) and he came up through WWE's feeder to NXT promotion. I've always been a fan of his despite his reckless style.
