Yep. I have a friend that still lives over there near Elvis's home where he grew up. His wife doesn't know about all of them yet and he is going to try and convince her to move. Their home value has has almost double what they paid for it which was like 140 with another 40 in upgrades. They could easily get 300 maybe more in this market.
Mempho fest is kinda worriesome now with it being so close to that area.

TBH they bleed into one another now.
There used to be a little separation leaving G-Town around Forest Hill Irene.
But it’s all built up now. Wolf River Pkwy too.

Which is a quarter mile from where my friend got robbed. Hell there was a shooting at the Kirby Kroger a few years ago. That is a place on the border of Germantown where a lot of wealthy people stop on their way home to Germantown. With 240 so close east memphis kinda ideal place to rob people. It's frustrating AF cause I like this city and an hour away from my parents in MS. My old house was broken into .25 miles from botanical gardens. Tons of home evasions and car break-ins. They were clearly looking for guns cause i had a couple hundred bucks in a wallet tin that was opened and the money not taken. Which was weird. All mattress flipped, cushions off the couch and closet ransacked.
A week later they or some of their gangster colleagues picked the wrong house 2 blocks away to invade cause a dude was there and he blasted 2 guys with a shotgun.
Think I might sign up for that gun store promotion where I can shoot fully automatic weapons for 80 bucks.

The father in law of a guy I went to school with shot a 16 year old at the Kroger gas station at Kirby/Poplar during an attempted car jacking. Kid was holding him at gun point, took his eyes off of him, got shot. Probably the one you are talking about
