I'm in a coding boot camp here in Bham, Al. One of the teachers used to be a public school teacher. She learned how to code, got a coding job, and gets paid to teach coding at night.

Is this something you are going into with no professional experience?

I've been in tech sales for a long time. I want to be in project management and hopefully work myself into a C level position or possibly running a start-up. I'm 40 and have about 25 years left to get where I want to be.

Here's the info on the class. Forgot they had a Mobile, Al class.

The precourse work is all on Code Academy. All that is free.

I've finished the HTML and CSS. Working on Sass and JavaScript now.

That's what I meant a-hole

I didn't realize I had to differentiate, if you had any sense of the word imply you knew that's how to interpret it.

Now piss off

Software development

1a.) Get into a Galvanize program
1b.) Use udacity or another online avenue

2.) Get a job in the best industry there is. Awesome work environment, flex scheduling, remote work, high demand, excellent pay

3.) profit... then thank me later

Also, to the OP. Do yourself a favor and spend the money and get these guys to give you an aptitude test:

It's the best money I ever spent. I would recommend this for anyone attending college or looking at a career change. I had it done and it really delivers a lot of clarity to your search. I also had both of my kids tested before they went to college. In a world full of infinite possibilities, it sure was nice to have that list narrowed down a bit.

Are you open to relocating? Here in CA, I don't have a full time position that earns less than $45K. Of course the COL is considerably higher and your neighbors will probably be loons, but with your education there are definitely opportunities.

Seems like sales can be difficult to break into. I'd be qualified to be in education sales. Not sure how much they make, but I doubt it's that much.
I am not qualified to sell what I sell, but what I sell I sell very well.

What would a salesforce gig involve

Setting up, customizing, and maintaining a company's salesforce account as an hourly 1099 contractor. Probably remotely for a lot of them.

There are a ton of sites where people post those jobs, and one that is specific to salesforce that they curate, if memory serves.

Also look on indeed.com, always lots of salesforce admins needed.
