78th Anniversary of D Day... found a new documentary on YouTube - excellent

My 11 year old daughter actually came to me on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and said "Dad - I just looked at the calendar and realized D Day is coming up - as is the anniversary of the Battle of Midway... do you think we could watch a documentary today" After a moment where I wondered if I was on Candid Camera.. we found THIS great one that seemed to be one I had not seen... good stuff for those interested...

My father made D Day such a huge deal in our house growing up.. he would fly the flag (or more accurately we would have to the flagpole in our garden at 7:00am on these days.. every year to watch him raise the flag) on D Day / Battle of Midway (June 4th) / Pearl Harbor in addition to all the other holidays.. makes me happy to see that my kids still know it's so important... Always good to take a step back and see real bravery and sacrifice at its finest...
