Sounds like you got it pretty good.

If this is the case, she probably already has an emotional friend.

ust curious how the average mid 30s with two kids couple does
I'm married (more than 7 years), in my mid 30's, and have two kids.

We had a similar issue around 7 or so years. Here's what we did. Try to reconnect on the things that brought you together. The kids can become all encompassing, and you don't have time for you two. I don't mean a date night. I mean have conversations about things that aren't family related... Politics, movies, current affairs, new music, whatever y'all found interesting before. Chances are she feels the same as you. Try to find a hobby together like exercise, yoga, anything. Let her wear a strap on and do you so you can understand what your partner's perspective is in the relationship. Don't just get her flowers or take her to dinner trying to re spark things. You have to dig deep to remind yourselves why it is you fell in love with each other.

Don't quit. Look at your single mid-30's friends and ask yourself if you would prefer that. (I wouldn't).

Seven year itch is real...comes at 14 and 22 years as well. Stops at 28 cause you cant get nothing much better after that long.

OP's life is everything I fear. The highlight of his week is eating chick fricking fil a. I would jump off of a bridge.

This is why my gf gets pissed when I tell her that marriage is evil.

I highly dislike the endless sprawl of strip malls and gated neighborhoods filled with 200-400k houses.

A life full of travel soccer teams, black yukons, living down the road from a quizons/gamestop that is across the street from tj maxx, macaroni grill, academy, and texas roadhouse just seems like giving up to me.

It's just not how I want to spend my adulthood.

Most of ya'll seem to have been watching too much movies, TV, MTV and playing Nintendo. What exact image of age 30-40 do you guys have in your heads? This is possibly a whole new OT low presented by this thread based on the responses ("Oh Noz, I'll be eating fine dining every night and getting shitfaced and partying my arse off at 35")
