PBK has probably been involved in at least half of the major school building / ISD building / school stadium projects in Texas in the last 10-15 years. This is not some rinky dink outfit.

That having been said... PBK also has a pretty extensive lobbying presence. Most school board members of ISDs of any size probably have received a campaign contribution from PBK.

This was such a major stadium project, I do wonder if it was out of their "league", so to say. Perhaps for a stadium this big and expensive, the ISD should have gone with a company that does college and pro stadiums.

you can tell the difference though. a lot more older buildings in Plano whereas Allen has newer buildings.

And they do not like old buildings around here at all Hell, they don't like anything old. I bought an older craftsman style house a few weeks ago in Dallas and everyone at my job was telling me I could have gotten brand new or newer(like built in the last 4-5 years newer) further out. They couldn't comprehend that I don't give a shite about newer construction. I'm from Nola and my prior house was over 100 years old. They got pissed when I told them that my old craftsman is built better than their shoddy tract home out in McKinney, Allen, Forney etc. or wherever the hell they live. I also can get to work in 10-15 mins and live by the lake.
The people in Dallas kind of suck

HKS is headquartered in Dallas. They did Jerry World, Lucas Oil Stadium, Blue Bell Park, and the west & south side expansions for Tiger Stadium, to name a few.

My, how times have changed. I wonder if they'll ever build another high school (currently one of largest in U.S.) or if football titles are really that important to them.

Allen is quite a different place now. I cannot see them ever building another high school, there is no where to put it. The current one is in the middle of the city limits practically and if they built a new one, it would be within 2-3 miles of the current one. They have the land around the HS to add on to it. Plano, McKinney, Frisco have all gone to multiple high schools, but they cover a larger landmass.

Football is king in Texas and Allen has won their district every year since 2006. They also have 3 5A titles, including back to back 2012 and 2013. Academics are top notch as well.

Many people that are not happy with the district size have been going East some to get into the Lovejoy school district. The one downside to a large enrollment, you have to be exceptional to stand out in sports or academics.

Little Allen does have some other pros too -
Cabelas and Top Golf.
